Mobile Image is a multimedia project with “new ways of being-in-the-world” founded in 1975 by Kit Galloway and Sherrie Rabinowitz. With a long background in video art, the two played with the concept that society would only benefit from a huge reliance on telecommuncative technology across vast distances. Their projects that we will discuss include the Satellite Arts Project (1977), Hole in Space (1980), and the Electronic Cafe (1984).
